Weaving

During Maori Whaea Francis showed us how to weave. She told us a story about when Maori people lived in the forests they weaved flax to make bags(kete), rope and they made mats. It was tricky at first but after a few tries I weaved my mat.(Dictated to the teacher)

Working hard

I got an award at Team Assembly for using my imagination when doing my work on my iPad. I had to complete a project about ways I take care of myself. I thought very hard of the type of photo's I will take and Mrs. Lal sent me to Mr.Burt to show him my project.

Niuean week

On Friday at our school assembly, we had a special performance by the Niuean group. I worked really hard and practised all week. Mrs. Lagiitupu, our parents, our friends, and teachers were so proud of me. (Dictated to the teacher) By Jaxon.

Challenging word problems

These problems were really hard and tricky so I decided to use the unifix blocks to help me. My teacher said it was to challenge me and that I should give it a try. (Dictated to the teacher.)

Using tens to count

I am learning to solve addition problems by counting in tens. Counting in tens is much easier because if I counted one by one it will take very long.

Film Festival

We went to Sylvia Park to the Film Festival. We had senior children as buddies to help look after us and take care of us. I watched many movies made by students. Our class made a movie called " Give a Little Love" I was a back up presenter just in case on of our class presenters got sick.My favourite movie was"Girls don't fart."It was really funny.(Dictated to the teacher)

I am learning about position, for example: top, bottom, left right, under, front, back.
